The BioBusiness Catalyst project is an international initiative bringing together organisations from Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa to strengthen sustainable bioeconomy education, entrepreneurship and skills development.
Within the consortium, the AAA network contributes its expertise in agribusiness development, entrepreneurship and capacity building, connecting bioeconomy education with local agrifood systems, youth employment and sustainable enterprise development in Tanzania.
Working alongside partners from Finland, Ghana, Botswana and across Europe, AAA is committed to market-driven vocational education that equips young people and entrepreneurs with green and digital skills. Through research, curriculum innovation, digital learning and stakeholder engagement, the project aims to bridge skills gaps, advance circular-economy practices and create new opportunities for sustainable growth.
Beyond Farming Collective
In Tanzania, the AAA network also works within the Beyond Farming Collective (BFC), a programme that works through agri-food industry organisations in horticulture, cashew, fisheries, dairy and youth agribusiness. Its work includes digital market platforms, processing and cold-chain infrastructure, certification pathways, women-led processing enterprises and business clubs.
The logic is one level up the system: funding one enterprise reaches one enterprise, while strengthening the association it belongs to reaches every member at once — and leaves behind an institution that keeps working after the programme closes.
