AAA is a network of agribusiness entrepreneurs. We help small and medium-sized agrifood firms grow through business clubs, mentorship, training and links to markets and finance.

Who we are
Entrepreneurs helping entrepreneurs build stronger food systems
The Africa Agribusiness Academy (AAA) was founded in 2010 by a group of innovative agri-food entrepreneurs from Eastern Africa. Today AAA is active in Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda, with a country chapter in each.
We work with owner-entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized agribusinesses, young and women agripreneurs, farmer organisations and the partners who finance and shape the sector. Our aim is to contribute to economic growth, better rural incomes and food security in Africa — because growing agribusinesses create jobs and link smallholder farmers to markets.

What we do
Practical support for agribusinesses at every stage
We combine enterprise assessment, coaching, business planning and investment readiness with market linkage, access to finance, digital learning and policy engagement.
Mentorship and coaching
Entrepreneurs learn through mentorship and coaching from fellow business owners, AAA experts and guest speakers.
Training and business planning
In-house training on financial management, marketing, quality and the preparation of bankable business plans.
Markets and business linkages
Company visits, exhibitions and AAA networks connect members to buyers and business deals in-country, regionally and internationally.
Access to finance and investment readiness
Coaching on financial records, investor readiness and pitching, and linkages to financiers and business service providers.
Programmes and policy engagement
AAA designs and delivers programmes with partners and contributes the voice of agribusiness SMEs to national policy processes.

Beyond survival: AAA at the KEPSA 3rd Annual SME Conference
AAA joined more than 2,500 delegates for two days on the financing and formalisation questions that decide whether a small enterprise grows.
