The Youth in Agroecology Business Learning Track Africa (YALTA) project aimed to promote youth-driven sustainable food systems and economic development in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. It was funded by the IKEA Foundation through the Netherlands Food Partnership.
AAA successfully implemented YALTA in Kenya through:
- youth caravans;
- national summits;
- capacity building;
- business development through a business accelerator programme;
- a mentorship programme.
At national level the project was supported by stakeholders including SNV, PELUM Kenya, EAFF, WorldVeg and TechnoServe.
